Legislative Working Group Meeting- Wednesday, February 13th
Texans for Accountable Government will meet every other Wednesday throughout the 2013 Legislative Session to:
- Learn how the process works and how to TAKE ACTION
- Read over bills of interest
- Become familiar with Texas Legislature Online, a fantastic tool for tracking legislation
- Help to articulate arguments for/against specific legislation, creating fact sheets
- Work to build strong coalitions around single issues, outreach to partners
- Organize direct action at the Capitol, create calls to action

Texas Capitol Legislative Library

The Legislative Library is on the second floor, directly outside the elevator doors…you can’t miss it. There is only one set of elevators and they are at the North entrance, ask any State Trooper for help.
Parking is FREE for two hours, then only $2/hour: http://www.tspb.state.tx.us/SPB/Plan/Parking.htm
FREE Parking on the street (thanks to the hard work of AAMPED!).
Please bring your laptop, if available. Some computers are available for use in the Library.

Which Wed. is the first one and what time?
This Wednesday, January 16th. Meeting starts at 7pm, but please come early to meet fellow activists and get settled in so we can start promptly at 7pm.
Also, there is a reception being hosted by the League of Women Voters at 5:30pm. This is a great opportunity to meet legislators.
