Big News for Open Carry Advocates
A judge granted a temporary restraining order on Monday against Arlington’s new law that bans demonstrators from handing out literature at intersections.
Open Carry Tarrant County sued the city, saying the law is unconstitutional and violates free speech. The group previously handed out copies of the Constitution while carrying rifles and shotguns.
The TRO will remain in effect while the case makes its way through the courts, and Kory Watkins, the President of Open Carry Tarrant County, said that he handed out some literature just a few hours after the decision came down.
